Two more snowmobiles here now. Picked them up this morning, delivered one to Allen and dropped the other off in my lower lot. Allen came over and picked one of the two I traded for yesterday. Now he has a primary and a backup machine. I have the UTV and two snowmobiles, one needs a new seat, that one will be a reserve, the other is a good little machine, should give me no trouble this winter.
I was born and raised in New England and attended Brewster Academy on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. At seventeen, I enlisted in the United States Navy, trained as a Torpedo Man, and served ten years at various commands. Following my discharge, and for the next 25 years, I earned my living as a long-haul trucker. Soon after September 11th, I reenlisted in the Naval Reserves, was deployed to the Persian Gulf, and served as a Seabee's Equipment Operator. My Naval career ended with a medical discharge, subsequent to a year spent at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. In May of 2015, I retired from trucking and I currently spend my time writing and working on my mountaintop home in Idaho. View all posts by Benjamin Scribner
